More than 6 years ago we decided with a small group of friends to achieve our ultimate slow fashion dream. A dream that was, and still is, based on our ideal thoughts as it comes to fashion, and the industry in general. In fact, a dream that reflects our lifestyle.
We decided to develop items that we couldn’t find in the market. Items that are having timeless designs, high-quality made that last a lifetime or at least some years. And the items that you need in your daily wardrobe, essentials in our vision.
Our Ultimate Items
One of the key elements of our brand is that we don’t make large collections twice or four times a year, or in some cases all year round. We came up with the idea to develop our ultimate Travel bag, one bag, so no total collection with many styles and colors. Just one bag that you use year in, year out. A bag without any fashionable details, just clean and basic how it should be in our opinion.
Natural Vegetable Leather
As base for our brand we came up to use natural vegetable leather, so leather that will become more beautiful with wear, and age. This unique process made our story, and our brand DNA complete. So, 6 years later we developed also some classic footwear styles and small accessories. Our collection is still small, around 10 items. And still produced in Holland, or Portugal. This to embrace craftsmanship, high-quality, and to add something extra on the market.
Slow-Fashion In Full Glory
So, we’re embracing slow-fashion in full glory! And we’re very proud that we’re still on the same road after all those years. In fact, these crazy current days force us as consumers to slow down in general. As it comes to fashion, industry, lifestyle, and so on.
Lidewij Edelkoort Embrace Slow-Fashion Too
Trendwatch queen Lidewij Edelkoort, known as one of the 25 most influential people in fashion, said in 2015 already that she declared that the fashion industry how we know it, the mass- and fast fashion industry and consumption, is coming to an end.
She also said that it seems we are massively entering a quarantine of consumption period where we will learn how to be happy just with a simple dress, rediscovering old favorites we own, reading a forgotten book and cooking up a storm to make life beautiful.
Working Hard To Expand Our Dream
We’re working extremely hard each day to achieve the same dream that we had in mind 6 years ago. A dream that became realistic as we’re successful and reaches the same likeminded people in the world. People that are willing to pay a bit extra for the best and most authentic production process available as our Goodyear Welted construction for our footwear, and our top-notch leather that is slow-tanned with only natural ingredients, but are having joy for many years. People that believe in slow-fashion, or better said, they live the slow-fashion lifestyle! Just like us. And our brand DNA.
